Every child deserves their turn at childhood.

A turn to laugh freely.

A turn to feel safe.

A turn to feel supported.

A turn to simply be a child.

But for many children in our community, life circumstances can suddenly place childhood on hold. A mental illness, divorce, medical crisis, or overwhelming family struggle can throw a home into chaos, leaving children caught in situations far beyond their years.

While other children move through the simple joys of growing up, these children are still waiting for their turn.

What if that story could change?

Bridges is there when families are facing crisis, providing respite and host homes where children can experience the nurturing, stability, and support every child needs. Whether it’s a few hours after school, weekends with a caring family, or a longer-term host placement, Bridges ensures that children are surrounded by warmth during the most difficult moments of their lives.

Most importantly, Bridges works to restore families from within. Through comprehensive case management, therapeutic support, and community-based resources, families are guided toward healing and stability so children can return to healthier, happier homes and finally experience the childhood they deserve.

For the next five days, Bridges is working to raise $220,000 to continue supporting families in crisis and helping children in our community finally get their turn at childhood.
